It’s not Sin to love Buck Rogers – is it?
Sin City director Frank Miller (he also did 300) is apparently set to write and direct a new movie version of Buck Rogers. I remember the 80′s TV show with Gil Gerrard fondly (remember Hawk?)
How could you not love Erin Gray’s spandex-clad Wilma Deering?
According to the Hollywood Reporter:
Miller will write and direct his own big-screen take on the comic serial; while the creator has only begun to sketch ideas, it’s expected to be a darker take, with many of Miller’s signature visual elements and themes, such as corruption and redemption.
It’s likely to be a priority project for Miller, though he has been mulling a “Sin City” sequel.

If Miller wants to make Buck Rogers darker, why not go back to the original source material. In the original novella Armageddon 2419 mining engineer Anthony Rogers wakes up in a World where human civilisation has collapsed and alien invaders are intent on keeping the Human Race primitive and subservient.
Please dear God, don’t let Jessica Alba play Wilma!
