I would agree about the sf market being dry. More so, the genre has been in a serious drought for the past several years. After Farscape - Peacekeeper's War, SW:III, Firefly and Senerity there has been very little to get excited. BSG has been quite excellent up till the third season but the trail of Baltar, revelation of the new cylons, and the back from the dead Starbuck is not quality story telling. I have never been excited about SG1 or SG Atlantis by either the storyline or characters. Even the Scifi Channel needs to look at its programming and needs to re-energize the scifi community and ignite our imaginations.
