Love the Mass Effect references beno. It almost makes sense too.
Seriously though, ignoring Revan and the Exile is just petty and short-sighted. Kotor 3 is a game that pretty much NEEDS to be made. Maybe it won’t involve the “True” Sith Empire that we see in the MMO, but there are plenty of other threats right? It’s a big galaxy, after all.

from the first time i played Kotor and kotor 2 ive always wanted a 3rd to come out, it would be awesome if the origional HK assassin droid lead an army of the copies under the exiles rule assisting reven and his/her star forge, sounds similar to starwars the phantom menace….but like mass effect 1 and 2 youshould be able to import/recall what happened in a past sequal, persay that the starforge got destroyed, the droid army and republic would take on a sith empire other than the new sith followings and the droid army. sounds a lil weird but ah well.

Revan and Exile both got screwed. Both had potentially huge roles in this period in the galaxy. Hey! majority of the star wars universe is so god damn spread out in timeline anyway that it surprises me we didn’t continue with both of them.

To this day I believe if they wanted to make a KOTOR 3 with the True Sith Empire. It would be a huge hit for Rpg gamers.

Well, maybe, but the MMO takes place 300 years after the first two KOTOR games, and it states that Revan never returned, so I’m not exactly optimistic.

Hey, I’m just pissed because I thought Revan was totally awesome (to quote Rhino from “Bolt”), and I wanted him to come back and get some semblance of a happy, or at least decent, ending. Instead, they just say he never came back. I think that’s a cop-out, but then that’s just me.

I don’t really see what the big deal is, I can’t think of a better way to breathe life back into the franchise than by making a pile of money on an MMO. It’s not like if they make a small fortune on an online game they would hesitate to find a way to make more single player games if they thought they could sell them as well.

I agree with Anthony. They should have let you continue as Revan in KOTOR III. He was by far the coolest EU character EVER! (or she if you are that way inclined, but male is canon, so whatever) And I always thought that the romance between Revan and Bastila was so awesome, not to mention the fact that Bastila is so hot! I know she’s just a set of pixels on the screen, but man, what a set of pixels baby!

Seriously though, I was immensely pissed at the decision to make the third game an MMO and have it that Revan simply never returned. That was like the biggest cop-out in the history of all cop-outs! (at least in my opinion) If anyone could have rallied the Jedi and Republic (and even the Mandalorians), and sent the True Sith packing, it would have been Revan!

But the people at Bioware said that making an MMO was a better way of telling a more involving story. I can’t help but think that the main reason was $$$$$$$$$!

But I prattle on.

Trust me, I doubt that anybody is more pissed off than I am that they are not making KOTOR III. I am so annoyed that they are releasing an MMO instead. In theory, there is nothing wrong with that, but I REALLY wanted a decent conclusion to Revan’s story. Instead, the writers opted for the “he went of to find the true Sith, and simply never returned” approach. What a bloody cop-out!

i hope lucas art,s bring out sw kotor 3 because i really loved playing bothe sw kotor 1 and 2. i hope they allow you to design your character’s class like “jedi knight, republic solider” i also want them to make it like were you design your own clothing for that character. i have always wanted my character to waer a black and red hooded jedi robe with a little bit armour around the chset and back area. i also they allow you to desgin your own force powers for the charcter.

this is true they have been working on this for a very long time. they are nearing completion, this is not a joke, “Darth what is wrong… (way to long for a name)”, they are adding a lot of cut content from the game that should have been there, but wasn’t.

Here is the official website for this project http://www.team-gizka.org/index.html. They give progress reports and the explanation of what needs to happen, before it is released to the public. Unfortunately, the last record of progress was recorded October 2007, what that means, I don’t know.
